McGuffey is a village in Hardin County, Ohio, United States. The population was 501 at the 2010 census.

McGuffey was laid out in 1890, and named for John McGuffey.[6] John McGuffey had donated land for a railroad depot in exchange for the naming rights.[7] A post office called McGuffey has been in operation since 1883.[8] The village was incorporated in 1896.[6]
